Congresswoman DeLauro has been instrumental in keeping the message of Fair Haven and the 15 other Federally Qualified Health Centers in Connecticut front and center in Congress, and both women see this as an opportunity to represent the 1,400 community health centers nationwide who could face severe budget shortfalls in the coming months. At present, Congress has yet to restore the community health federal funding, potentially leaving patients across the country with decreased access and health centers with economic hardships.
