[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Fair Haven Community Health Care is excited to announce that starting tomorrow, we will be offering on-site testing for coronavirus, to anyone in the community. Those experiencing symptoms (such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath) or who have been exposed to someone who has tested positive may call our dedicated testing number, 203-871-4179, for an appointment. It is not necessary to be a Fair Haven Community Health Care patient.
When seeking an appointment, the caller can choose a 15 minute time slot (to allow for social distancing), Monday -Friday, between 9am-noon and 1-4pm. After selecting a convenient appointment time, the caller will be given a “warm hand-off” to an FHCHC provider who will screen for health history.
Following the actual appointment at our 374 Grand Avenue location, test results are expected back from the lab in 2-3 days. An FHCHC provider will call with results and discuss next steps.
Our aim in making this testing available in the Fair Haven neighborhood is to provide access to this important health indicator to all who live here or nearby who might not be able to easily get to a drive-in testing site. Read the New Haven Independent’s related article here.
