Health care for all has always been the mission of Fair Haven Community Health Care. This includes our undocumented neighbors. Fair Haven Community Health Care is honored to lend our voice to build awareness for the need to expand state-funded health care coverage to include undocumented residents.
This week activists are working with state legislators to pass a bill expanding those covered by HUSKY, the state’s Medicaid program. The goal is to include certain undocumented residents who are currently ineligible for most kinds of insurance under the HUSKY plan. Dr. Ben Oldfield, of FHCHC talks with CTPR about the unique challenges faced by families with mixed immigration status.
