[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This month marks the first anniversary of Hurricane Maria’s landfall on Puerto Rico. One year later, the island continues to recover and our country is still learning lessons from this devastating event.  Last September, as people around the United States were responding to help those affected, Fair Haven Community Health Care put together a program we thought would best serve new patients arriving from Puerto Rico: meeting their needs with cultural sensitivity and and efficiency, in a low stress environment, and providing them with the resources they needed to get back on their feet quickly as they adapted to their new life in the States.

We are honored to be asked to share our program learning again and again, and are delighted to be featured this month in the National Health Center Association (NACHC)’s blog about providing care beyond borders.  You can read the full post here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
