The FHCHC Food as Health Program, a part of the Diabetes Health Equity Clinic, continues to help even more local residents get the resources and education they need to properly manage their diabetes.

The program, started by Melissa Pensa, has enrolled nearly 40 people! They offer patients resources such as $25 gift cards to C-Town grocery, produce guides, recipes, glucose monitors/strips, and more.

They are continuing to see success in patient outcomes relating to food insecurity and diabetes management and are looking expand to larger vouchers, more grocery stores, and more patients.
