Fair Haven Community Health Care is honored to once again recognize two winners of the Nightingale Award for Excellence in Nursing on our staff: Jennifer Gonzalez and Clarice Begemann. The Nightingale Awards, named after Florence Nightingale, recognize outstanding nurses and the breadth and scope of nursing practice.
Clarice Begemann, APRN ( left), is the Department Chair of our School Based Health Center department and has delivered care at Wilbur Cross Health School’s “Body Shop” for over 20 years, serving generations of high school adolescents. As one nominator said “Clarice is a legend in and of herself.” Jennifer Gonzalez, LPN (right), is a pediatric nurse working at our 374 Grand Avenue site. One of her nominators said “She is the best example of a nurse and goes above and beyond at all times for patients, families and co-workers.”
This year’s winners will be honored at a ceremony at Amarante’s Sea Cliff on May 2, 2019.
