Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC) has purchased the property of the former Grand Apizza on Grand Avenue, a move that marks another step in expanding its healthcare services to the Fair Haven community. The acquisition will see the transformation of the longstanding pizzeria into a new location for Grand Pharmacy, aimed at providing affordable medication to low-income and uninsured residents.

FHCHC plans to leverage its status as a federally-qualified health center to offer lower-cost medications and free health products, with hopes to include medication management and public health education programs in the future.

More details on the expansion of Grand Pharmacy will be available soon. In the meantime, check out New Haven Independent’s coverage of purchase and comments from our CEO Dr. Suzanne Lagarde.
